I’ve been working through a pot of Lush’s BB Seaweed mask over the past few weeks, which I had felt compelled to try after seeing a number of people say such nice things about it. This concoction is supposed to help ease redness and irritation, help balance skin tone and add a bit of moisture into skin. Some of the highlighted ingredients include lime tree flowers, rose absolute, and seaweed (of course!), and it also has ground almonds for gentle exfoliation.

I personally have combination skin that has some redness and visible pores, but it’s not particularly sensitive. I found that this mask really made my skin feel really nicely clean, soothed and soft. I think it may have even helped with my pores a little bit. I really, really enjoy it would definitely give it another go in the future.

It’s a creamy white color, and the scent is faint but pleasant. It’s quite chunky and includes varying sizes of seaweed pieces. I’m cool with the smaller pieces, but I found that the larger pieces were less inclined to stick to my face and needed to be kept out of my drain, as well. My other feeling is that the chunkier the pieces are, the less likely they are to be evenly distributed on the face. So, my only request to LUSH would be that they chop up the seaweed better.

The ingredients list is actually pretty long, and includes some fun things like aloe, rose petals, rosemary and patchouli oils, plus honey and extra virgin olive oil for some moisture and ground almonds for exfoliation. I think the almonds provide just enough exfoliation for my skin to feel super clean without being too abrasive at all (I’ve really backed away from scrubs in recent years because it feels like they just irritate my skin).

I’m loving it, and the bonus is that now that I’ve finished this mask, I’m ready to turn in some empty containers and redeem a free mask from LUSH. Sweet!

As with all of the Fresh Face Masks, BB Seaweed is only available in-store and needs to be kept in the refrigerator. The Fresh Face Masks each cost $6.95 for a 2.1 oz jar.

This looks great for sensitive skins. Wouldn’t mind to try it at all. Incredibly I have never tried anything from Lush, yet! :)

I’ve really been getting more into Lush over the last year, and I think their masks are great. If you give this one a try, let me know what you think of it!
