I’m nearing the bottom of my pot of Oatifix, and wanted to say a few words about this hydrating mask. It’s my first time trying it out, and I thought the dead of wintertime would be the perfect time to give it a go. Formulated with oats, bananas, and gently exfoliating ground almonds, Oatifix is a calming and nourishing mask appropriate for sensitive, dry and irritated skin.

I myself have combination skin, but it had been feeling a little extra irritated after spending a weekend outside at the beginning of the month. Oatifix is a gooey blend that spreads easily onto clean skin and stays soft throughout the whole time I wear it. It’s wet consistency makes it really comfortable to wear since it doesn’t ever feel tight or crumbly. It also means that it’s easy to wash off.

I don’t enjoy the smell of this … all I smell is over-ripe banana. I’ve seen others say online that their mask smelled like cinnamon oatmeal, so I’m guessing that this can vary batch by batch (these are handmade fresh, after all). Once I wash it off my skin does feel more hydrated, and it almost feels like it has lightly protective barrier on it. It’s not quite like a greasy residue, but I can feel a little something on my skin. It doesn’t bother me.

All in all, I like it ok. After using it for maybe a week and a half, I felt like my skin didn’t exactly need the extra moisture and it just didn’t seem like it was offering anything that my skin would seriously benefit from. There’s no real magic for me. If you have drier skin, this may be very helpful for you, though!

Hi Rinica, I’m glad you found it helpful! You could maybe try the BB Seaweed mask instead, it’s not as moisture-packed as Oatifix but it’s very soothing. It’s one of my favorites!
