3 (more) looks using the BH Cosmetics Galaxy Chic palette

I purchased the BH Cosmetics Galaxy Chic eye shadow palette back in September soon after it was released, and in October I wrote a review which included 3 different looks using the shadows. I put the palette away for a period during the winter when bright colors didn’t seem as fitting, but in the past couple of weeks I brought it back out again.

I initially purchased this palette for $14 and now I see it costs $22.95, so perhaps I scored a promotional price, but 18 shadows for under $25 still isn’t bad. They’re nice shadows, too, and I definitely recommend the palette if you find the colors attractive. You can read more of my thoughts on it and see all of the swatches in my original post, and today I’d like to show you some more of the shades in action.

This is a less intense look that I’ve worn to the office. I have Mercury all over my lid and softly blended Asteroid into the outer corner. Asteroid is very similar to Mercury, it’s just a bit darker and bluer and so the two of them make a nice pairing. The lighter area of the pale gray Moon is in my inner corner and purplish-gray Eclipse is brushed into my top and bottom lashes. I have the Jordana 12 HR black liner on my upper waterline and Pixi Crayon Combo in Wide Awake (review) on my lower waterline, and L’Oreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes in Blackest Black (review) on my lashes.

I’m also wearing Illamasqua Skin Base in 3.5 (review), DreamWorld Hermetica finishing powder in Whipped Peach (review), Fyrinnae blush in Nordic Angel (review) and Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer, and L’Oreal Colour Riche Balm in Plush Plum on lips.

Look 2

I really wanted to showcase the warm pink Jupiter, so here I have that all over my lid. It’s a pink I would describe as having a hint of copper in it. The brownish Mercury is in my crease and Mars (basically a darker version of Mercury) is in the outer corner. The pale part of Moon is in my inner corner and I’ve blended the grayish Eclipse into my upper and lower lashes. I’m also wearing some smudged Jordana 12 HR black liner and Buxom Sculpted Lash mascara (review) on my lashes.

I have the DreamWorld Hermetica foundation in Rhea II (review) topped with DreamWorld’s finishing powder in Ghostly Glo (review), Fyrinnae blush in Nordic Angel (review) and Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer, and Maybelline Color Whisper in Coral Ambition on my lips.

Look 3

Here, I started by putting one of my favorites, Milky Way, is all over my lid. It’s a pink-leaning violet, perhaps one of these colors you might call “radiant orchid”. That’s pushed into the crease and lower lashes, too. The paler, cooler lavender Cosmic is in my inner corner and deeper Eclipse is in the outer corner. The pale blue Uranus, another shade I really enjoy, is blended onto the inner 2/3 of my lower lashline, and then patted all over the center of my eyelid for a little dimension. I’ve dotted the L’Oreal Voluminous Smoldering eye liner in black right in between my upper and lower lashes, and finished with Maybelline Illegal Length mascara (review).

I’m also wearing DreamWorld Hermetica’s foundation (review) and finishing powder in Ghostly Glo (review), Clarins Graphic Expression face and blush powder from fall 2013 (review), and Buxom lipstick in Mistress on my lips.
