Taking a quick break, and seeking shopping suggestions for Japan!

November 10, 2015

Just wanted to post a quick update letting you know that I’m taking a short break from blogging through November and will resume around December 1st. In the mix of personal things coming up, I have the chance to visit Japan, which I’m really excited about. If you’ve tried any great cosmetics or skincare from Japan, I’d love to hear about them. I’d like to do at least a little shopping while I’m there, and could use the suggestions. Hope your holiday season is off to a great start!

  1. Have a wonderful time in Japan! Also, congrats on getting married!

I haven’t been following Japanese brands for a while, but Addiction is one I’ve wanted to try. If you make it to a department store, go wander. Jill Stuart, Lunasol, and Anna Sui products are always beautiful.

You may also enjoy products from Sana’s skincare line (drugstore). The Hadanomy Collagen line in the pink packaging and the Soy Milk (Nameraka Honpo) one are both awesome. They also make my favorite bubble cleanser, the rice ceramide bubble wash. Kanebo also makes an excellent powder face wash in their Suisai line that I don’t know for sure is still around, but if it is… Highly recommended.

Also awesome: Omi lip balms, and the sheer variety of facial blotting papers…

    1. Thanks so much, Belle! 🙂

I tried to get the lay of the land and hopefully next time I’ll do better in trying more things and finding more specific wish list items. The department stores are definitely fantastic!

I don’t remember seeing Sana, and I remembered to look for Omi in a couple of stores but wasn’t in the right place to find it, unfortunately. The blotting paper selection is definitely mind blowing!

      Really appreciate your feedback!
