I’m said very positive things about the Danish brand Raunsborg in the past, and I’m really excited to be able to say that their products are now available in the US through the website A Bit of Denmark. The site carries a bunch of skin, body, and fragrance products from the brand, and also has a collection of travel sizes available both individually and as a complete set.
Now after finishing up all of those empties I just wrote about, I’ve been making small shopping runs to take advantage of things like post-holiday sales and new releases at the drugstore to replenish. I have some stuff from Sephora, Nature Republic, Vitacost, Whole Foods, Costco, and Duane Reade to share.
As the fall got into full swing and I got married, traveled, and then later as the holidays set in, I let my monthly empties reviews get away from me. At this point, instead of just a January empties I have several months’ worth of finished products to talk about. It makes for a full bag of trash, but this post won’t take years to get through. It does mean that there’s a fairly wide variety of products to chat about, though!
To follow up on my last review of Giovanni’s Ultra-Sleek shampoo and conditioner, I’ve also been trying out 3 products from the brand’s Eco Chic Body Care line. These are all cruelty-free, beautiful, and affordable products, so I’m really excited to be able to share these with you. I’ve been trying out the Cleanse Grapefruit Sky body wash, Hydrate Grapefruit Sky body lotion, and the Cool Mint Lemonade salt scrub.
This month was an exercise in finishing up a lot of bottles that have been sitting in my bathroom for too long. I was able to empty out a whole handful of moisturizers, plus some other skincare and haircare. It feels good to be able to toss redundancies in my collection, since I’m always needing to be very space conscious! I’ll walk through each product I finished and let you know what I think.
Summer’s flying by, and I’ve personally been particularly focused on skincare products to help my skin, which has been giving me some trouble. In addition to a good bundle of skincare, I also have some makeup and body products in the mix of monthly empties. I really used up a lot of products throughout July, so I’ll try to be succinct and to the point!
I’m calling my July purchases a wrap, as I’ve checked off all of the items I had on my shopping list (plus some). A lot of this stuff was purchased to replace some of the items I’ve recently run out of, and I have all kinds of things going on – a good amount of skincare, some body and personal health items, and a bit of makeup.
I’ve recently moved to a new city and am currently looking for a new job, so theoretically I shouldn’t be shopping. I’ve continued to grab things here and there, though, and so recently I’ve been doing monthly purchase roundups because I tend to end up with a decent pile of new things to share. I’ve bought goodies from Lush, Sephora, Harmons, The Yeon, and CVS and will share some first impressions and swatches.
The Honest Co. first caught my attention while browsing through Target, where I remember seeing a big display dedicated to the brand’s many products, including baby, bath, body, home, and more. It wasn’t until I saw their a couple of products pop up at Costco that I first purchased, and I’ve since been trying out their Honest Sunscreen Lotion with SPF 30 and multipurpose Organic Healing Balm.
Throughout April, I used up a lot of skincare products that had been lingering around in my collection for a while, and there are a few additional items that aren’t pictured above. Highlights this month include the Pixi Glow Tonic, Clarins Shaping Facial Lift serum, a Nature Republic Ampoule, and a couple of treatments from Andalou Naturals.
