I’ve been slower to post because we’ve reached a point where we no longer have an apartment and have been on an extended roadtrip. We’ve set out to see the Southwest and have made our way from Washington to New Mexico and just started exploring Taos today. Thankfully we have real, working internet at our hotel (for the first time in a while) so we have a break from connectivity struggles! To start out with, I wanted to run through some of the products I’m reaching for the most while on the road, category by category.
SebaMed is a brand I was introduced to when I spent a semester of college in Germany. I didn’t recognize most of the brands sold in German stores, so I asked my friend what body lotion she’d recommend and she pointed SebaMed out to me. These days, SebaMed products are distributed in the US and locally I’ve seen their body lotion at Bed Bath & Beyond.
When it comes to body wash, I tend to be a little more picky than the average consumer. I generally bathe once if not twice a day not only to clean my body but to also soothe muscle aches, and thus most body washes are simply too drying for my skin. I prefer to try and find bath products that will help prevent moisture loss while bathing, rather than relying on lotions alone to fix ailing skin. A month or so ago I purchased the SheaMoisture body wash with raw shea butter, frankincense and myrrh from Target to see if it might be a good fit for my needy skin because it’s advertised to hydrate and rejuvenate skin as well as prevent early signs of aging.
