Hydrating skincare from NIOD and Hylamide

NIOD hydration skincare

When it comes to DECIEM skincare, I’ve explored a lot of the affordable options from The Ordinary but it took me a while to try out any of their other product lines. To get started, I jumped on one of the Black Friday bundles that they offered, which was this four-piece hydration skincare set from NIOD. It included the Hydration Vaccine, Fractionated Eye Contour Concentrate, Survival 0, and Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Complex. Later on, I added a couple more things from DECIEM to my collection, including the Hylamide Hydra-Density Mist, and I thought it’d make sense to talk about all five of those products at one time.

The Ordinary Alpha Lipoic Acid 5%, Granactive Retinoid 2% in Squalane, Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, and Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3%

The Ordinary Alpha Lipoic Acid 5% ($6.80), Granactive Retinoid 2% in Squalane ($9.60), Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% ($5.90), and Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% ($7.90)

I have thoroughly tried four more serums from The Ordinary, and these are all under the $10 mark. Two are definite favorites from The Ordinary line, and two were somewhat disappointing. I love the low price point, which allows me to try lots of new active ingredients for the first time and see how they work for my skin, and I also really enjoy that the Ordinary’s products often have very no-nonsense ingredients. This time around I will be reviewing the Alpha Lipoic Acid 5%, Granactive Retinoid 2% in Squalane, Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, and Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3%.

The Ordinary Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Solution 20% in Vitamin F ($17.80), 100% Plant-Derived Squalane ($7.90), and Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% ($7.90)

The Ordinary is really new to the skincare scene but has quickly caught everyone’s attention for their really straightforward and affordable products (also, cruelty-free). I have purchased 5 items from them so far but can’t try them out all of them at once, so I thought to start out I’d talk about 3 products that I’m using right now: a vitamin treatment, a direct acid, and a hydrator. Today I’m reviewing the Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Solution 20% in Vitamin F (vitamin C in a lightweight oil, $17.80), Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% (multifunctional brightening treatment, $7.90), and 100% Plant-Derived Squalane (lightweight hydrator, $7.90).
