I’m a big fan of oil-based balms for my skin, both for my face and my body. So, I was really happy to be able to try the balm by Taui, who make a simple product with organic and sustainable ingredients. This is a balm formulated with organic extra virgin olive oil, beeswax, propolis, bee pollen, and royal jelly, and everything’s handmade in Portland, Oregon by a two-person team. A little bonus is that the balm is available in both a 2-ounce glass jar for $20 or a 1-ounce plastic tube for $13, which means I have a jar that lives in my bathroom cabinet and a tube that lives in my travel bag for weekend trips.
I’m on a mission to reorganize and consolidate makeup, which includes pressing loose shadows, de-potting other makeup and giving things a new home in a magnetic palette. After some research and knowing I was going to need to drop a chunk of money on whatever palettes I decided to buy, I landed on the Book of Shadows shop on Etsy run by Anothersoul. Book of Shadows offers a wide variety of beautiful, handmade magnetic makeup palettes in all different sizes, and I bought a pretty good mix of them for my collection.
