Milk Makeup is a relatively new addition to Sephora, which is where I first learned of them, and they seem to be kind of polarizing. I understand that the brand’s look and feel isn’t for everyone, but I personally think their approach is very cool. They were born from the bicoastal LA and NYC-based Milk Studios and really highlight fresh and expressive makeup in formats designed for easy application. I bought the Sunshine Skin Tint during the springtime Sephora sale and honestly, I think it’s really fantastic. This is a luminous light coverage foundation that looks really nice and healthy on the skin, provides some sun protection, and comes in a funny click-pen rollerball tube.
It’s been a while since I’ve gone through a batch of empty products. I’ve recently been unloading my empties whenever the bag starts to overflow, which seems to translate to a seasonal basis, and summer is just a few days away. I’m also going to be moving apartments soon and so it’s an appropriate time to be going through the cabinets and cleaning things out a bit! So, here’s a look at all of the skincare, makeup, body, and hair care products I used up throughout the spring and will be discarding.
I have some new stuff I’m trying out thanks to an Ulta 21 Days of Beauty special, the recent Sephora sale, and another shopping trip to Too Cool for School. Of the products I ended up with, maybe half of them were things I’d been really tossing around the digital cart for a while and half were more impulsive purchases. I just read that sentence back and it’s not right, the majority of these things were pretty impulsive. And it was fun to shop.
I’ve been buying some more stuff. A few basics, a few replacements of similar products I’m running out of, and a few nice-to-haves. I’ve been trying a couple of products for a couple of weeks now but most of it is brand new and I’m just starting to try out the different bits. I have some cleansing products and makeup from Sephora, lip colors from MAC, and some natural bath and body from Whole Foods.
