It’s been a while since I’ve gone through a batch of empty products. I’ve recently been unloading my empties whenever the bag starts to overflow, which seems to translate to a seasonal basis, and summer is just a few days away. I’m also going to be moving apartments soon and so it’s an appropriate time to be going through the cabinets and cleaning things out a bit! So, here’s a look at all of the skincare, makeup, body, and hair care products I used up throughout the spring and will be discarding.
For 2014 I’ve started keeping track of the products I use up each month, and throughout March I finished a mix of skincare, cosmetics, body and hair care products. Keeping track helps me keep focused on using stuff up rather than just hoarding half-used containers, and it gives me the opportunity to say a few words about stuff that might have otherwise passed by without a full review.
I’ve done this sort of post once before, and I find it a decent way of talking about a handful of different products at one time. I don’t tend to devote an entire post to one pack of cleansing towelettes because my analysis of them is pretty simple, but because they’re useful for spot-cleaning brushes, wiping off swatches, cleaning up eye shadow fallout, and removing makeup at the end of the day, I use them quite a bit. Here are five that I’ve tried recently: Aveeno Ultra-Calming Makeup Removing Wipes, Trader Joe’s Miceller Cleanser and Makeup Remover, L’Oreal Ideal Clean Makeup Removing Towelettes, Olay Fresh Effects Refreshing Makeup Removal Cloths, and BH Cosmetics Makeup Remover Towelettes.
