Corvus Cosmetics East of the Sun and West of the Moon highlighting powders in White Bear, North Wind, and East Wind ($5.75 for 3g mini jars)

I was not previously familiar with the Nordic fairy tale that this collection by Corvus Cosmetics is based on, but I paid attention to the product release because I love the other highlighting powders created by Corvus. The East of the Sun and West of the Moon collection was actually created in collaboration with several other indie brands including Arcana, Blooddrop, and Nui Cobalt Designs. Corvus released five different highlighting powders, and I bought three snowy shades: White Bear, North Wind, and East Wind.

Milk Makeup Flex Concealer

Milk Makeup Flex Concealer ($28 for 0.2 oz.)

Milk Makeup Sunshine Skin Tint SPF 30 in Light ($42 for 0.7 oz.)
Milk Makeup is a relatively new addition to Sephora, which is where I first learned of them, and they seem to be kind of polarizing. I understand that the brand’s look and feel isn’t for everyone, but I personally think their approach is very cool. They were born from the bicoastal LA and NYC-based Milk Studios and really highlight fresh and expressive makeup in formats designed for easy application. I bought the Sunshine Skin Tint during the springtime Sephora sale and honestly, I think it’s really fantastic. This is a luminous light coverage foundation that looks really nice and healthy on the skin, provides some sun protection, and comes in a funny click-pen rollerball tube.

Sugarpill Feline Fancy collection

Sugarpill Feline Fancy makeup collection ($48)

This is a big deal for me—it’s the very first time I bought myself some Sugarpill. I received an email notification from them on February 1 about a new Valentine’s release, and had submitted my order less than 24 hours later. The Feline Fancy collection is priced at $48 and comes with a 4-color eyeshadow palette, a liquid lip color, and some flipping adorable art on the packaging. It arrived at my home on February 13th which meant I could actually start playing around with it on Valentine’s Day.
