Just a quick review of a product I’ve been using for the past two weeks, the Très Pure Face Tonic. I’ve been working through a 0.33 fl. oz. sample of this from my July Sample Society subscription box, and a 4 fl. oz. bottle costs $65. Actually, I had been using this for almost a week before I took a look at the product online and the price really surprised me. I hadn’t realized this was such a high-end item. This is a really interesting formula with just three ingredients: Daucus Carota (Carrot) Seed Distillate, Citrus Aurantium (Neroli) Distillate, Helichrysum Italicum (Immortelle) Oil.
This is a toner, to be used twice a day after cleansing, which claims to help balance skin, prevent dehydration, and even soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It is a completely clear, watery fluid that smells of neroli upon application, but the smell does not linger on the skin once it dries. The website suggests that because of its hydrating effects, the tonic would be great for men to use on their face after shaving.
I wish I could say that the face tonic helped with fine lines. I will say that this is definitely skin softening, and I have really enjoyed using it. Besides the steep price, I’d give this a thumbs up for its super simple formulation and the lovely feeling it immediately gives my skin.
This tonic definitely makes me a curious about the other Très Pure products, of which there are really only a handful. They offer 4 face products and 2 body products, plus a few product sets. Products are bottled by hand in New York, and there is some nice information on their Why Très Pure? page explaining some of their company ethics and business practices, which is worth a look if you’d like to learn more about them.
